Trailer Park of Terror

"Trailer Park of Terror is a 2008 american direct-to-video horror film directed by Steven Goldmann and written by Timothy Dolan." -Wikipedia

I'm going to be honest with you folks, when I first heard about this film I was a little worried that it was going to be so unbelievably stupid that I wouldn't be able to stand it. With a title like this, who could honestly take it seriously? When you think Trailer Park, you think trashy! And this movie doesn't stray from that stereotype in the slightest.

Spoiler Alert:
When the Trailer Park beauty has had enough, she makes a deal with, who we can only assume is, the devil. Killing all her white trash neighbors, the blonde woman than offs herself in flaming glory, burning down her whole park. We soon learn, that as the years progress, many many truckers are disappearing. Where are they going?

Now to add insult to injury, we have a bus full of troubled youths; the oversexed pair, the horny shoplifter, the gay boy, the junkie and the goth. And of course! We have a pastor who is not so tight with "behaving" side of things. This was actually pretty fun because you learned quickly what the characters were like, and I was already trying to guess who died first. Was I right? Of course not. With a film like this you can never be too sure of who is going to die and when they will!

Storms and crashes and of course the discovery of what seems like an empty trailer park just leads up to the terror. I expected to be absolutely horrified by this movie and at points I had to pause it because the suspense was killing me. I just wasn't ready for the mayhem, that never quite came. Woohoo for another zombie flick. Albeit an over sexed one.

TPoT did make me sympathize with a few of the zombies. It's hard to be dead and still not get the girl of your dreams! I mean come on! You'd think, after a couple years things would warm up. Tragic love story aside, this was actually half decent. Predictable, but decent. Some great, but not gory enough scenes, and some interesting Trailer Trash zombies!

Overall I give this film a 6/10

Best Death: Deep fried and still alive! 7/10
